This is a place where I share my ideas and thoughts. Look around and see if there’s anything you need.

Be like water 💧

I’m learning not to dwell too much on the annoying details of life, because when I do so I notice it draws too much of my energy that could’ve been best put somewhere else. Learning to let things go is probably not one of my best strengths due to my high levels of empathy and emotional intelligence, which unfortunately sometimes backfires into high sensitivity. Martin Luther King Jr. had it, no one can doubt his outstanding ability to mesmerize and capture the hearts of his people with his words and actions, but he was also known to be very sensitive to criticism.

I truly admire my strengths and I am just so proud of the man I am today, even though I still recognize my personality has it’s own share of weaknesses and insecurities. I’ll understand and respect these weaknesses, while striving my best to do what I can not to make these weaknesses define who I am and sabotage my passion and drive in everything I do.

I shall learn to let things go by learning from water. Water that runs in a stream is known to be fresh and dynamic, while water that is sitting in a pond is undrinkable and most likely toxic. Water that is mobile cuts through the thickest pieces of rock and forms new rivers and lakes. Water that is mobile allows for the most diverse ecosystems and underwater species to thrive within it. I shall learn from water to stay mobile and not look left, right, or backward – but forward.

“You must be shapeless, formless, like water. When you pour water in a cup, it becomes the cup. When you pour water in a bottle, it becomes the bottle. When you pour water in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Water can drip and it can crash. Become like water my friend.” -Bruce Lee
